A Note from Bill Murphy, Founder & Owner of Encore Events

I spent my growing up years in the Midwest following my grandpa around to area antique auctions. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but before I was 9, I certainly knew what one looked like!

When I moved to Largo, Florida in the early ’90s I saw a huge need for my estate services and vast knowledge of antiques, jewelry and collectibles — and Encore Events was born.

There is something quite rewarding about my work. When I first meet with new clients, most don’t have a clue where to begin liquidating a property. My amazing team and I are able to step in and take the reins. After nearly 30 years and thousands of sales there’s not much I haven’t seen or haven’t done. That’s why I make property liquidations look so easy!

I value all of the friendships I’ve made along the way and attribute Encore’s consistently successful sales to my loyal customer base. Today, that base includes young adults who were introduced to me as toddlers 20 to 30 years ago! That’s loyalty I am truly proud of and tremendously grateful for.

At one time or another we find ourselves facing extremely stressful life transitions such as a major move or a death in the family. Knowing who to call for a helping hand is where we come into play. We’ve assisted hundreds of families relocating out of town, moving to smaller homes, and liquidating the contents of a loved one’s estate. Facilitating life transitions here in the Tampa Bay area has been our focus and our specialty since 1991..
